Julie Gordon White brings 20 years of corporate sales and marketing, small business operations and business brokerage experience to her position as Principal and Broker of Record for BlueKey Business Brokerage M&A. During her career with ITT Sheraton Hotels, Julie spent 5 years as Director of Sales & Marketing at the 525 room Sheraton at Fisherman's Wharf, and 3 years in National Sales representing over 400 hotels world-wide to Fortune 500 clients based in San Francisco, CA. Julie received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from University of California at Davis in 1987.
As principal of BlueKey Business Brokerage M&A, Julie is able to combine her knowledge and passion for deal making with her love of being an entrepreneur, as she professionally executes the sale and acquisition of small to medium sized businesses from packaging to closing.
In Julie's free time, she trains for and runs half marathons, and spends most Saturdays as a soccer mom cheering with her husband for their 2 forwards and their nationally ranked goalkeeper.

Abiud Amaro, Associate

Abiud Amaro brings 16 years of operations analysis, financial analysis and small business experience to his position as Broker for BlueKey Business Brokerage M& A. Abiud worked for 12 years with the U.S. Government Accountability Office and 4 years with the City of Berkeley. During his career as a performance auditor, Abiud has been able to provide clear and concise analysis to decision makers concerning the strength and weaknesses of enterprises. His operations and financial analysis has led to millions of dollars in savings. Most recently, Mr. Amaro was principal at the business consulting company Amaro + Associates. In this capacity he has provided assistance to small businesses in the area and consulted with non-profits interested in helping small business succeed. In addition, Abiud has been an entrepreneur and has experience with Web content businesses, merchant services, and direct sales.
Abiud has a bachelor of arts with a double major in Government/International Relations and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame. He also has a Master of Science in Public Management and Policy from Carnegie-Mellon University.
Abiud has also been the President of Albany-Berkeley Soccer Club for the past 5 years.
Abiud is also fluent in Spanish.

Mike Nova, Associate, Restaurant Division

Mike Nova brings over 20 years of restaurant/bar experience to BlueKey BM&A. He sold his first venture, a catering company in Los Angeles, at age 23 and has continued to work in the challenging food service industry as a manager, corporate trainer and owner ever since.
Mike's experience includes the management of restaurants, bars and clubs in the Honolulu area where he was involved with every aspect of operations from payroll and staffing to cost analysis and bookkeeping.
As the bar manager and corporate trainer for Roy Yamagucchi and Roy's Restaurant's, Mike developed the fine dining bar/cocktail program to be implemented in Roy's new location in San Francisco as well as future locations in a joint venture with Outback Steakhouse.
Recently, Mike sold the Mexican cafe he owned and operated for five years. Creating his restaurant from the ground up, He not only developed, designed and built his own kitchen and dining room but was also solely responsible for menu development and food costing as well as staffing, interior design, logo development and marketing.
Mike brings his extensive and diverse background in the restaurant industry, his personal experience as a restaurant owner and his intimate knowledge of restaurant sales to the BlueKey team.
Mike is also an avid surfer and independent filmmaker.

Van Moore, Associate
Van Moore joins BlueKey with an array of complimentary experience, which spans over twenty years. In addition to having worked as a business broker prior to coming to BlueKey, he has also worked in the field of loan brokerage, real estate appraisal, and is also a Notary Public. He currently possesses licenses and/or certifications with the California Secretary of State, the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, the California Department of Real Estate, the California Office of Real Estate Appraisers, and is certified as a Property Tax Appraiser with the California State Board of Equalization.
His undergraduate (U.C. Berkeley), as well as graduate (Calif. State Univ.) education was in the field of Psychology; and he has taken several courses in business and commercial property investment theory. This training lends itself well when it comes to his being a mediator during the delicate negotiations that many times arise between buyer and seller.

Jim Rusconi brings to BlueKey BM&A 15 years of wide-ranging business experience including sales, account management, consumer affairs and project management.
Prior to joining BlueKey, Jim was an account manager for an international electronic commerce firm. He specialized in selling IBM Global Network services and supply chain management solutions to retail industry vendors throughout the United States. He has also worked in consumer affairs for a multi-national food conglomerate.
Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a former member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.
Jim prides himself on his no-nonsense, results oriented style combining aggressive marketing with excellent client service.
During his free time Jim enjoys doing a variety of family activities with his wife and two young boys.

Didi brings over 15 years of wide-ranging business experience and thought leadership to BlueKey Business Brokerage M&A.
Didis background includes technology development, project management, marketing, and business development at companies in California, Utah, and Europe, as well as independent marketing and management consulting. Most recently, Didi was a business broker for small and medium-sized businesses in the East Bay. She specializes in high tech and manufacturing; delivery, transportation, and logistics; retail; and real estate businesses.
Didi holds an MBA from California State University, East Bay with a focus on marketing. She is a Certified Business Intermediary, a designation awarded from IBBA for professional excellence through broker experience and education.

Phil Dowell has over 20 years of experience in business and industry. Prior to BlueKey, he was the Principal of Capstone Business Services, a professional business intermediary in Orange County, California.
Phil's experience includes engineering, operations, and sales and marketing in major corporations, including Rockwell International, Intel Corporation, Oracle, and The Boeing Company. He also has extensive experience with start-up organizations. Phil's industry experience spans the aerospace, high tech, retail, and consumer packaged goods industries. At Oracle Corporation, Phil was an Industry Director covering the Western US and Asia-Pacific Regions for the Consumer Package Goods Division sales organization. Phil has negotiated and closed many complex transactions, valued from tens of thousands to several million dollars.
As a business broker, Phil has worked with clients in automotive, restaurant, and service businesses. Phil has the sales skills to market your business, effectively qualify buyers, negotiate the best offer, and ensure that the transaction closes efficiently.
Phil has a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
Moe Ali, Associate

Moe Ali brings over 10 years of golf and media industry experience to BlueKey BM&A.
Moe's experience includes being the resident golf professional at several private country clubs and public courses including Richmond Country Club, Mira Vista Country Club and Alameda Municipal Golf Course. In addition to being a member of the professional staff, Moe was responsible for all retail outlets. As the Manger of retail operations, Moe was responsible for all purchasing, merchandising, employee management and sales.
Prior to becoming a golf professional, Moe had the coveted position of Program Manager for the number one R&B radio morning show in the Bay Area at KMEL hosted by the voice of the San Francisco Giants, the Bay Area's beloved Renel.
Moe also attended San Francisco State University.
Moe currently resides in the East Bay with his wife and two beautiful daughters.

Ronald K. Clausen, Lead Counsel, Clausen Law Group
Ron Clausen's practice focuses on corporate law, with an emphasis on emerging growth companies, venture capital financing and mergers and acquisitions. Ron takes an entrepreneurial approach to the practice of law, providing creative solutions to maximize his clients' business opportunities. Prior to going into private practice in 1986, Ron was general counsel to several national restaurant chains, as well as president of a west coast franchisor. In only three years, he doubled the client base of this 50-year-old company through acquisitions and strategic alignments.
Ron is a member of the State Bar of California and the Blue Key National Honor Fraternity and was a charter member in the Gibson Inn, Phi Delta Phi. He received his B. A. from University of California at Davis in 1968 and earned his J.D. from the University of California at Davis in 1971.

Creig Foster, Principal of CRS, has over 20 years experience in consulting to senior management of mid-market and Fortune 500 companies. He has advised a wide variety of commercial entities in the area of performance management. Areas of study and solutions implemented include improved utilization of working capital assets, more efficient budgeting and planning practices and systems, use of financial benchmarking and balanced scorecards, re-design of business processes (order entry, billing, accounts receivable, inventory, collections, information reporting, sales/marketing programs, and strategic planning), business analysis (including business plans and marketing research) and the use of advanced forecasting methods (cash flow, sales, inventory, etc.).
End result of Mr. Foster’s work is an implemented solution(s) which provides the client with quantifiable benefits associated with strengthening profitability, market share, supplier relations, business processes, planning/budgeting, and relationships with funding sources (banks, suppliers, investors, partners, etc.).
Mr. Foster received his BSBA from Northwestern University in marketing and MBA from De Paul University in Finance. He currently teaches course in these subject areas at University of Phoenix. |
